Intradermal Synthesized Mesotherapy
The Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA) advises against the use of permanent fillers like silicone and paraffin due to potential long-term complications. And the American Urological Society (AUA) considers penile girth enhancement (PGE) using subcutaneous fat injection to be unsafe and ineffective.
We’re seeing a rise in patients returning from overseas hair clinics with botched results and overharvested donor areas. These “all-inclusive” packages may promise thousands of grafts and a quick fix but often come at the cost of safety and long-term success.

Stronger Hair Starts Beneath the Surface with Intradermal Synthesized Mesotherapy
Intradermal Synthesized Mesotherapy is a non-surgical hair restoration solution that focuses on revitalizing the scalp and strengthening hair from the roots. By delivering a customized blend of nutrients, medications, and growth-promoting agents directly into the dermal layer of the scalp, this treatment provides precise support where it matters most—the hair follicles. Unlike oral supplements or topical applications, mesotherapy bypasses the digestive system and external barriers to nourish follicles at the source.
The formulation used in mesotherapy is tailored to the specific needs of each patient. These solutions may include vitamins, minerals, amino acids, peptides, growth factors, and medical-grade agents such as minoxidil or dutasteride. This personalized “cocktail” is designed to address the underlying causes of hair loss, whether they stem from hormonal imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, or hereditary conditions like androgenetic alopecia.
How Intradermal Synthesized Mesotherapy Works
The process of Intradermal Synthesized Mesotherapy begins with a clinical consultation to evaluate the type, pattern, and causes of hair loss. Based on this assessment, a customized treatment plan is created. The injectable formulation is designed specifically for the patient’s scalp needs and may include a strategic blend of growth factors, essential nutrients, and pharmaceutical agents such as minoxidil or dutasteride.
During the treatment, the provider uses ultra-fine needles to administer small quantities of the solution directly into the scalp’s mesodermal layer. These microinjections are spaced evenly across the thinning or problem areas to ensure consistent coverage. The dermal layer is home to the vascular network that supports follicle function, making it the ideal site for targeted treatment.

By injecting nutrients directly into this area, mesotherapy delivers a concentrated dose of beneficial compounds exactly where they are needed. Growth factors activate follicular cells, while vitamins and minerals nourish the scalp environment. Peptides and amino acids support keratin production and the structural integrity of hair strands. When applicable, dutasteride works to inhibit the conversion of testosterone to DHT—a key contributor to androgenetic hair loss.
The stimulation caused by the microinjections also helps improve blood circulation, oxygenation, and the delivery of natural nutrients. This dual effect—mechanical and biochemical—encourages stronger hair growth cycles and helps reawaken dormant follicles.
A full series of treatments is typically recommended, spaced one to two weeks apart over several months. Results become more visible with each session, often starting with reduced hair fall, followed by thicker hair shafts and increased volume. Patients appreciate the simplicity and low recovery time of the process. While individual results vary, many find mesotherapy to be a flexible and effective option for maintaining and enhancing hair density.

Intradermal Synthesized Mesotherapy: Step-by-Step Process
1. Personalized Consultation and Scalp Assessment
The process begins with a thorough consultation to assess the patient’s hair loss pattern, overall scalp condition, and contributing factors such as genetics, hormones, and nutritional deficiencies. The provider may review medical history and lifestyle influences to determine the best course of action.
2. Customized Treatment Plan and Formulation Design
Based on the assessment, a tailored formulation is created. This injectable cocktail may include combinations of:
- Growth factors to stimulate follicle activity
- Vitamins and minerals to nourish the scalp
- Amino acids and peptides to support hair structure
- Pharmaceutical agents like minoxidil or dutasteride to treat androgenetic alopecia
This mix is customized to address the unique needs of the individual, improving the treatment’s precision and impact.
3. Preparation for Injection
Before the procedure begins, the scalp is cleansed and prepped. A numbing treatment is applied to minimize discomfort. No shaving is required, and the procedure is performed in-office without the need for anesthesia or surgery.
4. Microinjection Technique
Using ultra-fine needles, the provider performs a series of small injections into the scalp’s mesodermal layer—the zone just beneath the skin’s surface where hair follicles and supportive blood vessels are located. These injections are placed in thinning or problem areas, evenly spaced to ensure consistent nutrient delivery.
Each injection deposits a precise amount of the customized solution directly at the follicular level. This allows for much higher bioavailability than oral or topical products, ensuring the active ingredients reach their target without being filtered through the digestive system or external skin barrier.
5. Biological and Mechanical Stimulation
In addition to delivering nutrients, the injection process itself stimulates localized blood circulation and triggers a mild inflammatory response that prompts tissue repair. This dual action—both from the compounds delivered and the mechanical stimulation—helps reawaken dormant follicles and supports healthier hair growth cycles.
6. Post-Treatment Protocol
After the session, the scalp may appear slightly red or tender, which usually subsides within a few hours. There’s no required downtime, and most patients return to return to normal activities the next day. Aftercare instructions are simple, often limited to avoiding harsh hair products or heat styling for 24 hours.
7. Ongoing Treatment Schedule
A series of treatments is generally recommended for optimal results. Sessions are spaced one to two weeks apart, and a full program may include 4 to 10 treatments, depending on the severity of hair thinning and response to therapy. Sessions are spaced four to six weeks apart. Maintenance sessions can be scheduled as needed.
8. Gradual, Visible Results
Patients often notice decreased shedding after a few treatments, followed by improved texture, thickness, and volume. Full results typically become visible over several months as new hair grows in and existing strands are strengthened.
